This week, Chief Economist from REALTOR®.com Danielle Hale highlights strong economic growth and labor market indicators. Danielle also recaps this week’s Fed meeting and what it means for the path of rate hikes. Mortgage rates don’t move directly in response but will react to broader interest rate trends. This week’s move was a favorable one, but the broader context remains toward higher rates.

Should You Become a Real Estate Investor?  

One of Kiyosaki’s biggest pieces of advice is to learn as much about money as you can. He believes the U.S. public school system doesn’t put enough emphasis on money. To make up for it, people need to take it upon themselves to learn about personal finance. He recommends reading personal finance books and attending seminars or classes.

As a general rule, learning as much as possible is always a good idea. To cite one specific example, many people are afraid to invest because they feel like they don’t know enough about investing. Learning more, even if it’s just the basics of investing can give people the knowledge and confidence necessary to make big financial decisions.
